FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Fort Campbell linebacker and running back Keshawn Dixon finished the 2024-25 regular season leading the state of Kentucky in total tackles with 156, according to Fort Campbell High School statistician Donny Caver.

Out of those 156 total tackles in nine games, Dixon had 90 solo tackles, 21 tackles for a loss and averaged 17.3 tackles per game this season. Last year the junior two-way player compiled 176 tackles in 11 games, so over the last 19 games he’s played in, Dixon has accounted for 332 total team tackles.

Meanwhile, Dixon has been just as dominant on the offensive end as he currently leads the Falcons with 873 rushing yards in 2024, while adding 11 rushing touchdowns to his season.

Fort Campbell High School head coach Henry Mitchell said he cannot overstate how valuable Dixon has been to his squad over the years.

“Keshawn Dixon has been a three-year starter for this football program since Day 1 as a freshman,” Mitchell told Clarksville Now. “He has a strong work ethic, not only on the football field, but also in the classroom. He is very meticulous on how he prepares for each game and how he conducts himself. I am truly honored to coach this young man.”

When asked what this recognition means to him, Dixon said none of it would be possible without the people around him.

“I feel honored that the work that I put in pays off when it comes to reading plays and reacting to them as fast as possible,” Dixon said. “However, I couldn’t do anything without God by my side and my teammates and coaches’ trust, because none of this would be possible without it.”
