HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Pennyroyal Arts Council, in partnership with the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, has launched a new Community Movie Series at the Alhambra Theatre, running from June 2025 through February 2026.

This series is made possible by a joint effort of the theater and the library, also sponsored by The Rotary Club of Hopkinsville, The Silo and Bolinger Real Estate. “It will bring a rich lineup of family favorites, cult classics, seasonal specials, and literary adaptations to the big screen — all free and open to the public,” according to a news release.

Screenings will take place on Tuesdays, with Kids’ Shows at 10 a.m. and Adult Features at 6:30 p.m., along with special events throughout the fall and winter.

Interactive elements will be included during morning kids’ showings, offering a fun and engaging experience for younger audiences — from costume contests to sing-alongs and themed activities tied to each film, the release said.
