HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Enter into the world of knights and dragons during the Scribe and Scout Renaissance Faire in Hopkinsville on Sept. 28. Crowds dressed in their best medieval attire will be able to chomp on turkey legs and explore themed vendors and music at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library.
The festivities will begin at noon, concluding at 7 p.m. There will be a community drum circle, foam axe throwing, crafts, potion making, and facepainting. “A bustling marketplace featuring artisans and crafters will be set up,” said a statement from the library. “We also will host a Best Dressed Contest for those dressed in Renaissance Faire garb!”
A pop-up tavern and food trucks will be on sight, and the night will end with The Secret of the Commonwealth Band performing at the outdoor amphitheater at 5 p.m. The band is well known for performing their Celtic and eclectic folk songs at the Tennessee Renaissance Faire and Middle Tennessee Highland Games.
Admission to the Scribe and Scout Renaissance Faire is free and is open to all ages at 1101 Bethel Street in Hopkinsville.
