Gail Loftus, age 82, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Barren Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Loftus was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on March 19, 1942, the daughter of the late Elwood Duvall and Glenna West Taylor. She retired from the Civil Service in Fort Campbell. Gail was a member of New Barren Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Loftus; her brother, Billy Duvall; and her half-sister, Jenny Taylor.
Survivors include her sons, David Loftus of Hopkinsville, Jeff Loftus (Carla) of Murfreesboro, TN, and Kevin Loftus (Susan) of Hopkinsville, KY; her brother, Tommy Duvall of Lemoore, CA; her seven grandchildren; and her six great-grandchildren.
