HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The highly anticipated supernatural expo coming to Hopkinsville this year is building interest ahead of their fall date. Early in 2025, Visit Hopkinsville Director Amy Rogers confirmed their plans to bring the brand new GoblinCon UFO & Paranormal Expo to Hopkinsville.

This two-day event will take place on Oct. 17-18, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the Little Green Men encounter. People will have the chance to explore over 80 vendors, engage with renowned speakers, participate in educational workshops, and join captivating panels covering paranormal topics from aliens to ghosts to bigfoot.

Last year, Rogers revived interest around the Kelly Little Green Men encounter with Alien Invasion Day. She previously told Christian County Now that the event was a great success, and she is excited to bring it back for a second year.

August 21, 1955 encounter

The Kelly Little Green Men encounter is considered one of the most well documented and detailed alien sightings. The small town of Kelly tucked in northern Christian County got its claim to fame after five adults and seven children reported seeing small alien creatures attacking their farmhouse.

Visit Hopkinsville’s website further explains this bit of history, detailing that the residents held off the aliens with gunfire for nearly four hours before reporting the incident to Hopkinsville Police. They claimed to see 12 to 15 short, dark figures popping up in windows and doorways. This encounter has inspired documentaries, several investigations by ufologists, and extensive interviews with families and locals over the years.

GoblinCon is still accepting vendors, people can submit an application and stay updated on information on the GoblinCon website.
