HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Friends of Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, in partnership with The Showbox, invite the community to step into the glamour and excitement of the Roaring Twenties at The Gatsby Gala, taking place at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28 at The Showbox, 4000 Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel “The Great Gatsby,” the Gatsby Gala promises an elegant
evening filled with music, dancing, vintage automobiles, and Gatsby-themed trivia. Guests are encouraged to dress in their finest 1920s attire and embrace the spirit of the Jazz Age.
“We are excited to bring the community together for an evening that celebrates literature while supporting the future of our library,” said Tiffany Luna, Director of Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library. “The Gatsby Gala offers a unique opportunity to enjoy an evening with friends while investing in the programs and resources that make a difference in our community.”
Following the evening’s festivities, guests will settle in to watch a film adaptation of Fitzgerald’s beloved novel. Tickets cost $60 per person and are available through The Showbox. Ticket price includes a complimentary cocktail. To purchase tickets online, visit The Showbox website.
Most importantly, the Gatsby Gala is a fundraiser benefiting HCCPL. Proceeds will help HCCPL provide programs, valuable cultural resources, and community services to Hopkinsville and Christian County citizens.
