Harold “Ned” Elsberry, 85, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2024 at his residence.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
A native of Memphis, Tennessee he was born August 8, 1938 the son of the late Harold Elsberry, Sr. and Elizabeth Pearson Elsberry. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he received the Bronze Star Medal. After retiring from the Army, he was self-employed at Elsberry Masonry. He was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son: Mark Edward Elsberry and brother-in-law: David Johnson.
Survivors include his wife: Helen Webb Elsberry of the home; son: Devin (Breanne) Hunter of Sarasota, Florida; daughters: Elizabeth Pearson (Rick Hamilton)Elsberry of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; Cynthia Marie (Jimmy) Mediano of Cape Coral, Florida; and Amy Grace Hunter of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; brother: George P. (Darby) Elsberry of Columbus, Mississippi; sister: Kathryn Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren: Jessica; Matthew; Jonathon; Clara; Zachary; Brian; Ashley; Derrick; and nine great grandchildren.
