HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Fire Department and Atmos Energy are actively working to contain a gas leak near the 900 block of West Seventh Street.
As of 11:24 a.m., the roadway has been completely shut down while emergency crews continue to investigate, and homes in the affected area are being evacuated, according to a statement from HFD.
They are currently advising that drivers who need to travel through this area should utilize West Second Street as a detour.
