HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Boys and Girls Clubs of Hopkinsville and Christian County received numerous awards at the Midwest Leadership Conference in October, according to a news release.

Terrence Davis, executive director, was presented with one of the most prestigious honors, the Blue Spirit Award for the Midwest Region. The Boys and Girls Clubs of America President Jim Clark, chose Davis as a leader who has demonstrated what it truly means to be a Club and community leader. The award is only presented to five CEOs around the country annually.

“I am humbled by this recognition and give all the credit to my staff,” Davis said. “The people who work for, serve, and support our local Boys and Girls Club are the ones who help me impact our youth and make a difference in this community.”

During the event, the club’s Board Chair, Tera Bloecher, was named Area Council Liaison for her work within the Kentucky Area Council. Bloecher has been with the club since July, and has been on Hopkinsville’s board of director for many years.

The Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville serves over 100 youth through programming, tutoring, activities, food pantries, clothing allocation and more. The club is located on 1600 S. Walnut St. For more information call 270-887-4020.
