HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Due to recent storm damage, the Hopkinsville Driver Licensing Regional Office is operating out of a temporary location.

On June 3, a severe storm passing through the area brought about 11 inches of rain to their location on Main Street, according to a news release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. They will spend the next few months cleaning and rebuilding from the inflicted rain damage and are expected to reopen in September.

During this time, the offices will be operating out a temporary location by appointment only. Since their new location cannot accommodate walk ins, they are only releasing their address after an appointment is made to avoid overcrowding. However, the Drive Kentucky website dictates that customers can park on the second floor of the attached parking garage of the temporary building, and take the elevator to the fourth floor of the building.

The temporary location will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., with one day available for walk in customers on July 13 from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Appointments can be made on the Drive Kentucky website to apply for, or renew a driver’s license, permit, or ID.
