HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Firefighters were able to contain a fire from spreading throughout a duplex on Wildwood Drive Monday afternoon.
The Hopkinsville Fire Department arrived at the home around noon on Jan. 6. The fire was contained to a second story bedroom, the exact cause is still under investigation by HFD.
No injuries were reported, and firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other rooms or the adjacent home in the duplex. In a statement, HFD said, “The photos highlight the importance of closing bedroom doors before going to bed. This simple action can play a significant role in keeping you safe in the event of a fire.”
