HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Hopkinsville High School has announced changes in leadership for the boys and girls wrestling program, effective immediately. Dison Myers has been named as interim head coach for the Tiger girls wrestling program. Myers currently serves as the girls wrestling coach at Christian County High and will oversee both programs. Assistant HHS wrestling coach Cameron DeArmond has been named as interim head coach for the Tiger boys wrestling program.

Myers, a Pennsylvania native and United States Army veteran, is married and the father of two sons. He began his coaching career as an assistant wrestling coach at Mount Union High School in Pennsylvania and has served as the Girls Wrestling Coach at Christian County High School for the past two years.

“We are very excited to have Coach Myers lead the HHS girls wrestling program,” said Athletic Director Jacob Ezell. “Coach Myers brings unmatched energy, experience, and passion to the program.”

DeArmond, a 2017 graduate of Hopkinsville High School, competed in wrestling throughout middle and high school and went on to wrestle for two years at Lindsey Wilson College. He proudly serves as a Sergeant in the Kentucky National Guard and as a K9 Officer with the Hopkinsville Police Department. DeArmond is also a devoted father to two daughters.

“We are very excited to have Coach DeArmond lead our boys wrestling program,” said Athletic Director Jacob Ezell. “He will be a great addition to the HHS Tiger athletics program. He has done great things with assisting the HHS wrestling program, and we’re looking forward to the same success and leadership moving forward as the interim head coach.”
