HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The community is invited to attend the 24th Annual Turkey Trot which will take place on Thanksgiving morning in Hopkinsville.
Walkers, runners, joggers, skaters, bikers, and leashed dogs are all invited to attend to tackle the 3.1-mile route, which starts at Founders Square in downtown Hopkinsville and features a scenic stretch along the greenway. This is a non-competitive race is not timed and generally attracts over 1,000 participants each year as it becomes a holiday tradition for local families.
This is a free race starting at 8 a.m. on Nov. 27, check-in will be one hour prior to the race. Participants are encouraged to register online prior to race day. Turkey Trot shirts can be purchased for $25, with proceeds benefiting the Hopkinsville Greenway Rail Trail.
