HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – In honor of the 95th birthday of beloved book character Nancy Drew, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is inviting aspiring detectives in the community to a fun celebration.
On April 26 from 12 – 2 p.m., the library needs help solving the Mystery of the Golden Bookmark. Participants will have the change to follow clues and complete a scavenger hunt to solve the mystery, according to a news release from the library. People can also decorate their own evidence journal and create a morse code bracelet.
“It has been great to see the teamwork among our staff to host a free event like this for our community,” said HCCPL Executive Director Tiffany Luna. “We can’t wait to have everyone in the library enjoying themselves and celebrating one of our favorite genres, Mysteries!”
Luna added that this program offers something for everyone, from the library’s youngest to oldest patrons. At noon, there will be Jeopardy: Mystery Edition for ages 16 and older where prizes will be awarded to winning teams or individuals. Other activities during the event including having a one-of-a-kind mugshot taken and enjoying Nancy Drew inspired snacks.
