HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man was assaulted at the Manhattan Motel in Hopkinsville when two men attempted to steal his bike.
The Hopkinsville Police Department reports the incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Sunday. A police report states that the victim was approached by two strangers who demanded he hand over his bicycle. After refusing, the two men attempted to grab the bicycle from his hands. The report says that a struggle then occurred, and one of the suspects struck the victim in the face, causing an injury to his nose. He was then hit several more times.
The victim managed to escape on his bicycle and rode directly to the Police Department to report the crime. The two men were caught and charged with attempted robbery.
