HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Saturday, Dec. 30, deputies from Christian County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department arrested a man for trespassing and burglary after fleeing from officers.
According to reports, the suspect was at the Woodland Heights apartment complex, where he had been trespassed before. When CCSO and HPD arrived, the suspect jumped out of the second story window and fled.
He was located a short time later after witnesses gave information about his whereabouts. Police say the suspect was hiding in another apartment, where he offered the children $100 to let him in and keep quiet.
When he was caught, the suspect assaulted officers. Officers found a baggies with a brown substance crushed up which the suspect claimed was Adderall.
He was transported to Christian County Jail and charged with first-degree criminal trespassing, first-degree fleeing or evading on foot, second-degree burglary, third-degree assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, public intoxication, possession, and third-degree criminal mischief.
