HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Teachers, staff, and community members gathered at the new Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early Learning Center on Aug. 7 to get a glimpse at the newly renovated facility opening this fall.

“This is a great day for Hopkinsville, and Christian County,” said Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight. “There’s a lot of growth going on here in Hopkinsville, and this is just one step moving us forward with the school board and they are doing great things.”

The early learning center is located at the former Indian Hills Elementary building on Blane Drive. It will offer a range of programs focused on early learning, kindergarten readiness, and preschool for qualifying three and four-year old’s in Hopkinsville and Christian County, according to CCPS.

The center also houses the Inspire Early Learning Academy, a fully licensed childcare center for employees of Christian County Public Schools.
