HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation has announced their event calendar for the 2025 season. Long-standing annual traditions and community events will be returning this year, as well as new activities for the whole family that were introduced in 2024.
“The Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department aims to foster a sense of pride, well-being, and connection in the community through free and low-cost recreation and entertainment offerings,” said to a news release from HPR.
Events will kick off April 19 with the nighttime egg hunt, and continue into summer with activities like Hoptown Movies in the Park, the annual Touch-A-Truck, the Hoptown Hose Down, Squealin’ on the Square and more. Additional events include the Annual Summer Salute Festival on Sept. 12 and 13, the Hoptown Half Marathon and 5K on Oct.18 and the HES Christmas Parade in December.
