HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation’s newest event, Hoptown Throwdown is scheduled Friday, July 12. The event promises an evening packed with country flair and family fun at Founder’s Square, according to a press release from Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation.

Starting that night at 6 p.m., attendees can celebrate all things Southern while enjoying live music from Nashville artist Court Taylor.

“We are thrilled to have Court Taylor bring her unique sound to Hoptown Throwdown,” said Rachael Wolfe, Program Coordinator. “Her traditional country roots, with a modern twist, fit well with the theme of our new downtown event.”

Attendees can also expect a variety of local food trucks including Kona Ice, G’s BBQ, Chef Jamie’s, and Nathan’s Famous. Casey Jones Distillery and Forsque Industries will be on site with alcoholic beverages. Country- themed yard games including stationary cattle roping, horseshoes, and cornhole will be available to play all evening.

Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation asks guests to bring out their best boots, hats, and lawn chairs for Hoptown Throwdown. For more information call 270-887-4290.
