HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A tip from a caller led the Hopkinsville Police Department to find multiple bags filled with narcotics and two unlawful firearms in a home on McPhereson Avenue on Sunday.

According to a police report, officers found small plastic bags, that are used for trafficking in narcotics, covering the living room floor of the home. Officers also found two firearms, a metal grinder, a large plastic bag with marijuana residue, and several smaller bags.

Several rounds of ammunition were also discovered in the house. One of the suspects had an Emergency Protective order against him with stipulations stating he was not allowed to possess any firearms, according to HPD.

The two suspects were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, and possession and buying of drug paraphernalia.
