HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Christian County Crime Stoppers is assisting police in locating a suspect connected to murder that occurred in Hopkinsville last weekend.
On Nov. 8, officers with the Hopkinsville Police Department responded to a shooting in the area of East First and North Virginia Street. 27-year-old Jacorey Majors was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Tavarious Mathews is the current person of interest and has not been located. He is wanted for murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward up to $1,000 for information that can help lead to his arrest.
