HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The victim of a fatal car accident in Hopkinsville has been identified as 40-year-old April Harris of Hopkinsville.
The accident occurred just after midnight on Jan. 9 on Skyline Drive right in front of Hopkinsville Fire Station #2. Harris was travelling with male passenger, driving eastbound in the westbound lane for unknown reasons at an unknown speed according to a collision report from HPD. Her vehicle collided head on with another, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle underwent a field sobriety test and a blood draw and was found to not be under the influence of alcohol. No charges have been filed related to the crash.
