HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – For the seventh year, the Hoptown Summer Salute will be taking over downtown Hopkinsville from Aug. 23-24 with free concerts, vendors, and lots of fun.

The festival will kick off Friday with dozens of vendors lining the street, along with a kid’s zone and beer garden. Activities will cover the majority of downtown, with the concert stage set up at the Justice Center. The festival stretches down West Ninth Street, past little River Park.

Concert seating will open at 5 p.m. on Friday with The Jimmy Church Band taking the stage at 6 p.m. Saturday night will welcome the festival’s headlining band, Parmalee, at 8 p.m., opened by Tyler Booth at 6 p.m.

“We are thrilled to welcome Parmalee to the Justice Center stage,” said Toby Hudson, superintendent of Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation, in a previous statement. “Their chart-topping hits and dynamic stage presence are certain to captivate audiences of all ages. Parmalee’s performance heralds a return to our country music roots, and we are eager to share this experience with our community.”

The festival is an all-day affair both days with activities starting at 11 a.m. and lasting through 10 p.m. For a map and full schedule of activities, visit the Hoptown Summer Salute website.
