HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Traffic on I-24 westbound around mile marker 91 in Christian County is impacted as repairs continue. The concrete rehab project is estimated to conclude next week.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet previously said the repairs are a mobile project, with the work zone and lane restrictions moving westward along the interstate as work progresses. The work will conclude when crews reach mile marker 83.  In a news release, they estimated the project would last two weeks, with work previously beginning on Nov. 11.

The KYTC traffic map has shown significantly backed up traffic around the work area, especially in the mornings. As lane restrictions continue moving down the interstate, an alternate route for drivers may become available off of Exit 89.
