FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Fort Campbell football running back, linebacker, and Clarksville Now Defensive Player of the Year Keshawn Dixon signed to Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro. On Feb. 4, he was joined at the Fort Campbell High School auditorium with over 100 people, including teammates, family, and friends to celebrate suiting up for the Panthers this fall.
“The recruiting process was long and stressful, but I kept my trust in God, and it all came together,” said Dixon. “I’m very excited and happy to be in this position. It still doesn’t feel real. Ever since I was a kid, it’s been a dream to play in college. I want to better myself not only as an athlete but as a person, because football doesn’t last forever. I want to take my whole life to the next level.”

Dixon collected 22 tackles for loss on the season, 120 total tackles, five sacks, and an interception in 2025. He also rushed for over 1,500 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on offense.
He follows in his older brother’s footsteps, as Torrance Dixon is currently a defensive back at Olivet Nazarene University. For Falcons head coach Henry Mitchell, Keshawn’s impact on the program will be dearly missed.
“Ever since he was a freshman, he has thrived in the classroom and on the field,” said Mitchell. “He had a major impact on both sides of the ball, and his work ethic is one of the best you will ever find. You aren’t gonna find a replacement for a player like Keshawn.”
Joining Dixon in the auditorium on Feb. 4 was soccer player Dylan McDonald, who signed to Mars Hill University in North Carolina.
