HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A juvenile has been taken into custody in a shooting at the Evergreen Apartments on Park Avenue Thursday night.
According to a news release from the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers responded to the apartments for reports of a subject being shot. Upon arrival, police secured the scene and rendered aid to the shot individual until medical personnel arrived.
Detectives arrived and, after conducting a thorough investigation, concluded that during the shooting, the bullet passed through the victim and entered a nearby residence, narrowly missing other individuals.
The juvenile suspect was taken into custody and charged with three counts of wanton endangerment and minor in possession of a handgun.
