HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A juvenile was flown to a Nashville hospital after being shot a residence overnight in Hopkinsville.
Early Friday morning around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 22 , Hopkinsville Fire/EMS responded to a shooting in a residence at the 3400 block of Hermitage Drive in Hopkinsville. According to emergency services, crews located a male juvenile with a gunshot wound to the arm.
Several other people were in the residence when the shooting occurred, but no other injuries were reported.
EMS was able to stabilize him while waiting for a medical transport helicopter to take him to a Nashville hospital for future treatment. A statement from HFD says his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
No identifying information about the victim has been released. Hopkinsville Police is investigating the shooting, and anyone with information is encouraged to reach out at 270-890-1500.
