Karen Sue Blane, age 62, of Herndon, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Powell Cemetery. Visitation will be at Powell Cemetery on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Blane was born August 23, 1961, in Greenwood, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Granville Thompson and Martha Ann Norman Marion. Karen retired from Probation and Parole of Hopkinsville and was working as an Administrative Assistant at Denso. She attended Concord Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna McGehee.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Mike Blane of Herndon, KY; her son Jared Blane of Lafayette, KY; her daughter, Jamie Blane, of Herndon, KY; her brothers, Butch Thompson (Gayla) of Crofton, KY, and Roger Thompson (Rhonda) of Cadiz, KY; her sisters, Linda Parker of Oak Grove, KY, and Ann Thompson of Hopkinsville, KY; and her grandchildren, Baeleigh, Rylie, Ava, and Blane.
