HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Over 30 businesses in Hopkinsville will be participating in a Shop Small Saturday Christmas Open House on Nov. 29.
Local business owners located in historic downtown and at the Pennyrile Marketplace on Fort Campbell Boulevard are collaborating for a festive shopping experience after Black Friday. An interactive map has been created of all the participating business who will be turning up the holiday experience for Shop Small Saturday, allowing shoppers to plan their day.
While walking around to shop and dine throughout the day, patrons can visit a holiday market with vendors at Hopkinsville Brewing Company, see a caricature artist at J. Schrecker Jewelry and listen to holiday tunes from live music with the Pennyrile Area Band along with other offerings at specific businesses.
This fun day to kick off the Christmas season is done in partnership with the Hopkinsville Small Business Commission, Christian County Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Renaissance District. Diane Turner, administrative assistant for The City of Hopkinsville, says that businesses who would like to be included on the map and receive a Shop Local Decal can reach out to diane.turner@h-ky.us.
