HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – An Oak Grove based filmmaker is casting for his next local feature and is looking for talented actors from the community to be in the project.

“I decided to cast in Oak Grove because as a member of my community for 30 plus years, I believe we have a lot of history and stories that need to be told to the world,” Lee Joshua Robles-Sanchez told Christian County Now. “Kentucky has a lot of hidden talent and it’s time to let our local talent have an opportunity to be a part of the film industry.”

Sanchez got his start in the industry through music, spending over ten years creating music videos and films. His production company Reach4ThaSkyFilmz has tackled many projects, including a documentary titled NitosLand. This film featured a motorcycle club that was started in Oak Grove by twin brothers, exploring their lives while giving insight into the motorcycle community. Sanchez says this project is what he is most proud of so far.

His current film is titled Ghost Bridge, comprised of stories based on true events that occurred in Oak Grove dating back to the 1960’s. “I want this to be raw and organic, so I’m searching for true talent to see who could act the role that’s given on spot,” said Sanchez.

The open casting call will take place on March 8 from 12 p.m. through 3 p.m. at Valor Hall Conference & Event Center in Oak Grove. Actors must be over the age of 18 to audition, food and drinks will be provided. For more information email leejousanchez@gmail.com or call (615) 474-9338.
