HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Torchlight Tales is returning to Jeffers Bend Environmental Center on Oct. 15 for a spooky, fall night leading up to Halloween. During the event, people are invited to gather for an evening of folklore and food from 6-8 p.m.
Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets to cozy up to around a campfire as local historian William Turner and educator-storyteller Wayne Goolsby share the legendary Bell Witch story. Hot chocolate, cookies and s’mores will be served as performers in Bell Witch attire and 1800s-style clothing interact with the crowd as the tale unfolds.
People an also participate in the Bell Witch Costume Affair, where children and adults are invited to dress in Halloween-themed costumes. All participants will receive a gift bag.
