HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On March 6, over 4,000 soldiers and families from Fort Campbell received free food items from the local non-profit Fort Care.
These regular Honor Package Grocery Giveaways are organized by volunteers, headed by Ron Fahy. Food items that were distributed included deer meat, kielbasa, sliced smoked ham, cereal, snacks, beverages and more.

Throughout the morning, over 40 active-duty soldiers and veterans set up at the parade field on Fort Campbell to efficiently serve the thousands of families that drove through.
Fort Care continuously serves military families, having recently held another distribution ahead of the holiday season. Find out about future Honor Package Giveaways and how to get involved in future events at the Fort Care Facebook page.
