HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Tickets are on sale now for a community production of Legally Blonde: The Musical from Campanile Productions. Actors, singers, and dancers from in and around Christian County will take the stage for performances at the Alhambra Theater in Hopkinsville on March 12-15.
Rehearsals for the popular musical are well underway in Hopkinsville, with the cast previously set. However, there is still one role that needs to be filled, and Campanile Productions is seeking a charismatic pup to join the group.
The musical is described by Campanile as a fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the Legally Blonde movie. It follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.
Pet to the main character, the part of Bruiser Woods is open for a talented and stage ready dog. Traditionally played by a small dog like a chihuahua, anyone interested in their pet joining the show should keep in mind that they will have to attend rehearsals leading up to the performances. Auditions will be held on Feb. 15 at 401 West Ninth Street in Hopkinsville from 2-5 p.m. Schedule a time slot on Campanile’s sign-up page.
Tickets to the musical performance can be purchased now on the Campanile Productions website. Wednesday, March 11 is their “Pay What You Can Last Dress Rehearsal,” where the public is invited to attend without a ticket.
