HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Two festive productions are coming to the Alhambra Theater in December, featuring local actors, dancers, and performers to ring in the holidays.

Experience the wonder of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet, featuring over 80 local dancers on the Alhambra stage. The Pennyroyal Arts Council, in partnership with Brooke Bailey Dance Addiction & Gymnastics announced that tickets for the sixth annual holiday production of The Nutcracker are on sale.

Returning to the historic Alhambra Theatre, this beloved community tradition will once again bring the story of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince to life. Performances will be on Dec. 5-7, with livestream tickets available.

New this year is The Nutcracker Tea on Nov. 29 from 11a.m. – 1p.m., where kids can join the characters during a high tea at the theater. There will be snacks, tea, hot chocolate, crafts and a meet and greet. Tickets can be purchased online.

After the ballet, A Christmas Carol, The Musical will be presented by Campanile Productions, also in partnership with the Pennyroyal Arts Council, from Dec. 11-14.

Inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic tale, this production invites audiences of all ages to experience the magic of the season through a story of reflection, compassion, and joy, featuring a talented cast of local and regional performers. This ongoing collaboration between the Pennyroyal Arts Council and Campanile Productions has made A Christmas Carol a treasured Hopkinsville tradition.

The run time of the show is around 90 minutes, accommodating viewers of all ages. Tickets are on sale now at the Campanile Productions website.
