HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Elleri’s Formals has moved into downtown Hopkinsville, supplying upscale dresses, clothing and accessories to the community. The building on the corner of East Ninth and South Virgina Street has undergone a full makeover since the previous business left, and the bright boutique is now stocked with delicate and glittering gowns.

“As a young girl, I’ve always loved to dress up,” owner Morgan Brown told Christian County Now. “I think I was probably in high heels since the time I could walk.” Elleri’s Formals was first established in Hopkinsville in 2024, just two years after she graduated high school. After a couple of location changes, they are now settled into this cozy and historic spot where dresses easily catch the eye of window shoppers downtown just in time for prom season.

The store offers a mix of consignment and new items for proms and any formal occasion that arises. Long gowns and short dresses adorned with sequins, feathers and more fill the racks on the walls with plenty of options for shoppers.

“This was her dream, this was her. She had some money saved and she decided between buying a car or opening a store,” added her mom, Johnna.

The store is very selective of consignment dresses that they bring into the store, ensuring that they are in pristine condition and align with recent trends. For new gowns, prices start at around $350 depending on the style, with consignment starting closer to $200. Shoes, accessories and tuxes are also available at the store with a comfortable area to lounge while trying on clothes.

“We absolutely love the aesthetic that downtown Hopkinsville has,” Brown told Christian County Now. ” We already feel the support of the other businesses as well.” They prepped, flipped and moved into the space within one week to make sure there was no lapse in service during this busy time of year.

When decorating and transforming out the store, she wanted to ensure that it felt very sophisticated and fresh. She aimed to provide a high-end experience for shoppers and young girls, so they have a special visit whether or not they are purchasing secondhand.
