HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Sunday around 10:30 a.m., Hopkinsville Police Department responded to a disturbance at Grace Episcopal Church. According to a report from HPD, the reporting party stated an unknown man was being loud and disruptive inside the church.

When officers arrived, the man was walking and yelling along East Fifth Street. Officers recognized the man when they began to approach and were able to identify him. He was reportedly speaking gibberish and continued to yell at officers while they tried to put him in handcuffs.

During the drive to Christian County Jail, the man banged his head repeatedly inside the car and continued yelling. He is being charged with public intoxication for drugs, menacing, and resisting arrest.
