HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A 54-year-old man is facing a DUI and firearms charge after several guns were found in his vehicle after making threats on Dec. 18.
Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office initially responded to a call about a man making threats to harm others in the area of Eagle Way Bypass and Prosperity Lane around 5 p.m., according to a news release. The suspect’s vehicle was located near Davenport Lane and deputies initiated a traffic stop.
A rifle was seen in the passenger’s seat of the truck, and deputies noted that the suspect exhibited signs of being intoxicated. Two loaded handguns, a rifle with loaded magazines, and extra ammunition were also found inside the vehicle after further investigation.
The man is a convicted felon and was taken into custody and transported to the Christian County Jail for the following charges.

- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
