OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A 40-year-old man is facing drug trafficking charges after being found in possession of several narcotics and a gun while violating a restraining order.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested the suspect on Sept. 30 on Pembroke Oak Grove Road when he was found on a property he was prohibited from being 500 feet near.

Upon arrival, deputies observed the man exiting the property in his truck, according to a news release from CCSO. Dispatch confirmed the suspect had an active EPO, and could be armed and dangerous.

During the search, deputies found a cut straw with white powdery residue and suboxone strips on the suspect. A search of the vehicle revealed a firearm with a scratched off serial number and ammunition. CCSO also found suspected methamphetamine, scales, plastic baggies, prescription pills, and open containers of alcohol.

He was arrested and charged with violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, possession of defaced firearm, using restricted ammunition during felony, trafficking, and possession of open alcoholic beverage in vehicle.
