OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – An Oak Grove man is facing four drug trafficking charges after a months-long investigation led to the search of his residence.
On April 28, detectives with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit, working alongside CID Agents from Fort Campbell, executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Gail Street in Oak Grove.
A news release from the CCSO says detectives recovered two handguns during the search, along with marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, cocaine, suspected fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and rolling papers.
52-year-old Lewis H. Ohara was taken into custody at the scene. Ohara admitted to law enforcement that all of the items belonged to him and acknowledged he was a convicted felon who is not allowed to possess firearms. He also shared with investigators that he had only seven months left on supervision after serving a 36-year sentence, according to CCSO
“We are committed to working with our partners to get dangerous drugs and weapons off the streets,” said Sheriff Tyler DeArmond. “Today’s arrest is the result of solid teamwork between our deputies and the agents at Fort Campbell.”
Ohara was transported to the Christian County Jail and is facing four different drug trafficking charges, along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and other charges.
