HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man was hit by a car Friday evening while crossing Pyle Lane, according to a police report.
The driver told police the man was standing in an unlit area, and she did not have time to stop once she saw him. The man was hit and thrown onto the windshield of her car. He suffered minor injuries, and the car was moderately damaged.
According to the police report, when officers arrived on scene, the man had left. They were able to locate him at the Emergency Room at Jennie Stuart Medical Center later that evening with hip and arm pain, and a possible broken leg.
A witness told police that while on the scene of the accident, the man who was hit asked her not to call police and wanted a ride to pick up his girlfriend. The witness gave him a ride and then dropped him off at the hospital.
No charges had been filed as of Monday morning.
