PEMBROKE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A wreck in Pembroke sent a man to the hospital Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred on East Nashville Street near Dollar General. According to Payton Rogers with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS, the vehicle crashed into a utility pole after going off the roadway. First responders believe that a medical episode led to the accident.
Pembroke Fire Department shared that the pole was broken in half due to the impact. Emergency fire crews were able to extract the passenger from the vehicle.
The man was transported to the hospital in Clarksville, Tennessee to be treated for his injuries.
