HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office perused a known felon on Monday who stole a Mazda 3 from Central City. They were able spot him leaving a residence, but when the suspect saw deputies, he fled in the stolen car down East Seventh Street in Hopkinsville, according to CCSO

Following a pursuit, the suspect’s car became inoperable after being pinned between a dumpster and cruiser. He ran out of the car in attempt to flee but was quickly caught by deputies.

After a search, a bag on his ankle was found containing methamphetamine, over 100 doses of fentanyl, and marijuana. A handgun was also found on the suspect. Inside the stolen vehicle, a bag with liquid steroids and other drug trafficking items were found.

At the time of the arrest, the suspect was out on bond for similar charges stemming from multiple pursuits, according to CCSO. He was taken to the Christian County Jail and is facing 18 charges including resisting arrest, drug trafficking, fleeing or evading police, and possession of a handgun by a felon.
