Update: After investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night on McPherson Avenue, Hopkinsville Police issued an arrest warrant for the suspected shooter.
According to a news release from HPD, the 24 year old male suspect was located and arrested in Allen County Ohio. He is pending extradition back to Kentucky.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville man died after he was shot early Monday evening on North McPherson Avenue.
Hopkinsville Police said someone fired a shot from a vehicle, which struck the victim Monday night. HPD responded to the dead-end of North McPherson on the report. Upon arrival, police located the male shooting victim. As officers waited for the arrival of emergency medical personnel, they began providing first aid themselves, according to HPD spokesperson Royale Marfil.
No one else was injured in the shooting, but the victim eventually succumbed to his injuries.
