HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – An overnight crash in Hopkinsville left a man with severe injuries, prompting a large emergency response.
The accident occurred on Fort Campbell Boulevard by the intersection of Novadell Way around 2:50 a.m. early Thursday morning. As a result of the accident, a white pickup truck rolled over and ejected a man, leaving him trapped underneath.
The Hopkinsville Fire Department was able to successfully extricate the person from under the vehicle with rescue efforts, while simultaneously giving medical attention. The man was flown via helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee for treatment with non-life threatening, but severe injuries.
The roadway was shut down overnight while the crash was investigated by Hopkinsville Police and the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
