Mary Ruth Earnest, age 81, of Landis, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Cadiz, KY. The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date.
Ms. Earnest was born in Birmingham, AL, on February 20, 1943, the daughter of the late Earnest and Ruby Rider. Mary was a waitress, and a caregiver to her mother for many years, she also was a caregiver in nursing homes. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her sons, Matt (Deborah) Earnest of Hopkinsville, Warren Dale Earnest of Charolette, NC and Gregory Mark Earnest of Landis, NC; her brother, Coy Dale Rider of Venice, FL; her sister, Barbara (Ben) Traywick of Bessmer, AL; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
