HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight is inviting all adult residents and business owners in Christian County to participate in the sixth iteration of the City Diplomat Program.
A news release from the city states that this opportunity allows people to gain insight into the local government operations while engaging in classroom sessions, interactive demonstrations, and hands-on activities aimed at equipping them with the tools to effect positive change.
“The City Diplomat Program is a fantastic way for residents to engage with their local government and understand how their city operates,” said Mayor Knight. “Each year, we see participants walk away with a deeper appreciation for public service and a stronger commitment to making a difference in Hopkinsville. We encourage anyone interested in learning more about local government to take advantage of this opportunity to connect, collaborate, and contribute.”
The program is scheduled for 6 p.m. on May 28, June 25, July 23, Aug. 27 and Oct. 22. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their completed applications no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18.
