OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A two-month long investigation by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit lead to an arrest in Pembroke on Thursday. The suspect is a 27-year-old man from Oak Grove who is now facing four drug trafficking charges.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop on Aug. 1 around 2:00 p.m. for failure to wear a seatbelt. A K9 unit assisted in the stop and alerted on the vehicle, according to a news release from CCSO. A backpack with suspected methamphetamine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana, along with currency, and scales were found after a search of the vehicle.
The Anti-Crime Unit was able to search the man’s home on Mandarin Drive in Oak Grove, finding more cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana along with a gun and more currency.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Christian County Jail. He is facing several charges including four different drug trafficking charges for meth, marijuana, fentanyl, and cocaine.
