Michael Dean Hoover, age 59 of Guthrie, passed away on Monday, November 4th at his home of natural causes.
He was born May 9, 1965, in Danville, Illinois son of the late Frank E. and Pauline J. Gooden Hoover.
Mike was a general laborer and a man of Baptist faith. Mike was always quite the comedian making everyone laugh. He cherished the moments he spent with his family. He loved family gatherings, cookouts, listening to gospel music and watching talk shows. He loved all kinds of music and enjoyed the outdoors especially driving around the countryside looking at the beautiful scenery. He loved all of his children dearly, but he spent a lot of extra time with his son, Harley and enjoyed doing special things with him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James B. and Ada Mae Gooden, Sr.; his wife, Lori Moss Hoover; a son, Jessie Massengale; a sister, Dawn Marie Jones and a special niece, Victoria Slade. He is survived by his children, Harley Hoover of Guthrie, Dakota and Cheyenne Hoover of Colorado; three grandchildren; sisters, Vicky Robertson of Guthrie, Cindy Hoover of Guthrie, Melody Blake Farmer of Wisconsin, Brenda Lazzelle of Iowa and Sherrie Hoover of Wisconsin; several nieces, nephews and one aunt.
The family has chosen cremation and will have a Celebration of Life Service on a later date.
As we reflect on the legacy of Michael, we will remember a man who lived passionately, loved deeply and touched the lives of many. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.
Arrangements are in the care of Christian Cremation & Funeral Care.
