Minnie L. Mason, 89, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 2:53 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gray Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Muhlenberg County, KY she was born October 21, 1934 the daughter of the late Cecil Kelly and Beulah Chandler Kelly. She worked at Thomas Industries before becoming a licensed beautician. Following her career as a beautician, she worked as a caregiver and helped many families in the last stage of their life. She was a Kentucky Colonel. She was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Paul Mason; her sisters: Mildrene Tucker and Laura Cook; and her brother: Howard Kelly.
Survivors include her sons: Jeff (Terri) Mason and Greg (Judy) Mason both of Hopkinsville, KY; her brother: Guy (Brenda) Kelly of White Plains, KY; her grandson: Zac Mason; her devoted niece: Cindy Coggins of Hopkinsville, KY; and her devoted caregivers: Tamara “Lanore” Payne, Sherri “Granny” Winter, Bernita Fowler, Christy Little, LaReina Sherrod, and Patricia McKnight.
