Update 1:20 p.m. A uniform citation provided by Christian County Public School’s Police goes into detail about the events that led up to the arrest of a CCPS staff member Friday morning.

Daycare worker Constance Larson was observed via school monitoring camera inside a classroom at MLK Early Learning Center striking a juvenile child multiple times. When initially interviewed by law enforcement, she denied the claim and stated that she only attempted to grab the child’s hand, according to the arrest report. Officials say the video evidence contradicts that statement, where she is clearly seen making physical contact in a “striking motion.”

She was arrested and is being charged with criminal child abuse.
